It’s Been A Long Time

Alright it's been close to two months since my last blog entry. I've had a couple of interruptions the last couple of months that'll go into later in my blogging schedule. Anyway, let's talk about the latest happenings. How about the new Iphone? People form long lines just to say they're the proud owner of a new iPod 3G. Society wasn't preoccupied enough now they can ignore their family, kids, neighbors, and friends even more. Just last month I was in a restaurant and saw something disturbing. There was a family of five having dinner and each kid had their own entertainment gadget. One kid had an iPod another kid had a Nintendo and the young kid had another Nintendo. The parents weren't talking to each other. They just ate their meal like nothing was wrong. It was sad seeing parents and kids ignoring each other like that.

Last night I was watching the Lohan show. I wanted to check out the recording session between these fucking jokes. There's nothing I hate more in life than a talentless cocky asshole and a manufactured pop princess. The funniest part of the whole show occurred when the girl said she was an artist. No honey you're not an artist. An artist actually creates something. You're just a puppet. Then there was the guy pimping himself like a cheap prostitute. Boasting about his hits on MySpace. The same MySpace that gave us such great artists like......wait I can't think of one. MySpace is a great little place but hits don't mean shit. One last thing your music sucks it sounds like every fucking r&b crap song out there. And the record companies wonder why they can't make any money. Quit promoting this crap and sign real artists.

Did you hear we're a nation of whiners? Yes, ladies and gentlemen all this recession talk is all in our heads. You're not really paying $4.15 a gallon at your local gas station. Unemployment lines are getting shorter. You can stretch your money a little more. Come on, you can take that extra job to make ends meat. There isn't a divide between the haves and the have nots. All those foreclosed homes in your neighborhood are just part of a market correction. Financial institutions aren't collapsing they're just taking a break from all this recession talk that's in our heads. If we stop whining we can make millions from lobbying. Isn't that right Senator Phi Gramm?

That felt good. I'll get off my soapbox now.

Later
